The invention relates to methods for checking the integrity of data blocks and accessing same and, more specifically, to a method for checking the integrity of a digital data block, said method comprising steps consisting in: looking for a digital fingerprint in a data block (4) using a reference mark (7); calculating a digital fingerprint by applying a fingerprint calculation function to the data block, the calculated fingerprint being a value dependent on each of the bits of the data block, excluding the bits of a fingerprint (2) located in the data block; and checking the fingerprint located in the data block by comparing it to the calculated fingerprint.
