The Hague Local Division (18 August 2025) confirmed the preliminary objection order upholding UPC jurisdiction over multiple Moderna entities (including Moderna Spain and Moderna Norway) in infringement actions concerning COVID-19 vaccine Spikevax. The panel dismissed all Moderna's grounds challenging international jurisdiction under Brussels Regulation Art. 7(2) and 8(1) and the Lugano Convention.
