The President of the Court of First Instance granted Renault's application to change the language of the proceedings from German to English (the language of the patent) in the Munich Local Division infringement proceedings concerning vehicular electronics. The court found that the balance of interests favoured English, as both parties were comparable in size and resources, English was the language of the relevant technology, and the change would not cause delays.
