Summary: Order of the Central Division (Paris) refusing a change of the language of proceedings. The defendants' request to switch the language to English was rejected, as were the auxiliary requests to file pleadings in English and to hold the interim conference and oral hearing in English, and the request to permit simultaneous interpretation at own cost. The Court held there is no legal basis for changing the language of proceedings before the Central Division (Art. 49 UPCA provides none, R.323 RoP applies only to local and regional divisions) and granted leave to appeal under R.220.2 RoP as a question of fundamental importance.
